Hawaii, Day 38 Pt. III - Makapu'u Point
Hawaii, Day 38
This gallery was taken from the top of Makapu'u Point. The hike to the top of the mountain was about 2 miles, but it was worth it. The Point overlooks Waimanalo Bay to the north and Koko Head to the west. I have a shot of Koko Head from the top of the mountain, but it needs some help (it was very hazy at the altitude I was shooting from).
For this shoot, each of the sets of shots was capturing something different. The shots over the bay and down the cliff were to capture the ocean and the coast, akin to the preceding galleries. The shots of the bird were to capture a little bit of the nature of the island, whenever and however I can. The shots of the lighthouse were to capture the amazin contrast between the white and red lighthouse and the blue ocean. This is the last gallery in this series.
