Hawaii, Day 66 - Hiking Ka'ena Point

Hawaii, Day 66

Justin and I came back to Ka'ena Point, and brought Isaac along with us. This time reaching the Point was not our goal, we were there to climb, and climb we did. There's a partial trail that leads up the face of one of the mountains, so we started out on that trail. When we lost the trail, we made our own, until we were satisfied that we had gone far enough up. We were running out of time anyway, so we made our way back down the mountain and into the valley. The valley goes back quite a ways, and terminates in what would be a waterfall during the rainy season, but was at the time nothing more than a slightly damp sheer cliff. Another day, another exploration.
