Justin attending World of Concrete 2009 gave the family a perfect excuse to visit Las Vegas once again. This time, since Justin and I were both over 21, we could actually go inside of the casinos and really enjoy the architecture and design of the city. Unlike most people who visit Vegas, we weren't really there for the gambling (though we did do a tiny bit of it), but instead we were there for the experience and the beauty. Its really easy to overlook the beauty of the structures in the city since it is often overwhelmed by everything else that is going on, but if you look closely enough you can find more than a few gems. We also took the opportunity to head out to the Hoover Dam, which none of us had done before, and that was a lot of fun. All-in-all it was a good trip, having returned with more money in my wallet than I left with, and having watched the Steelers win a record 6th Super Bowl.
