What is Twitter?
Twitter is a text-message based micro-blog. After registering, you can send "Tweets" to Twitter via your cell phone, or via their website, or through many chat/instant message programs. Twitter's "Tweets" are limited to 160 characters maximum, so you have to be very short with your "Tweets". Twitter is useful for pointing out interesting things that you've stumbled across, or updating your followers as to what you're doing right now. I use Twitter basically so that I can give small status updates to my friends about what I'm doing, where I'm going, etc. I also ocassionally link to interesting articles/pages/tools that I find on the internet.
